These terms apply to the KuSon app and the kuson.net website. Please read them carefully. By installing or using KuSon you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use KuSon.
1. Who we are
KuSon is provided by KORACL MMC ("we", "us"). You can contact us at support@kuson.net.
2. Other terms that apply
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your data and is part of these terms. If you get KuSon from Google Play or the App Store, that store's terms also apply (for the App Store, including Apple's standard licence terms). Where a store's rules require it, they take priority over these terms.
If you download KuSon from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement for apps also applies: Apple EULA.
3. What KuSon does
KuSon is a self-exclusion tool. You install it on your own phone, by your own choice, to block access to gambling. With "Lock all gambling" it blocks gambling sites and their mirror sites in your browsers, gambling apps and installing new gambling apps, using a gambling list we keep updated. You choose what to lock and for how long.
KuSon removes easy access to gambling. It is not a cure for gambling addiction and does not replace medical or professional help.
4. Who can use KuSon
You must be 18 or over. Install KuSon only on a phone that belongs to you, or with the clear permission of its owner. You are responsible for how KuSon is used on your phone. Don't use KuSon to monitor or restrict another person.
5. Your licence
While your subscription or licence is active, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use KuSon on your own devices. You don't own the app; we and our licensors keep all rights in it.
KuSon updates its gambling list automatically, and we release app updates to fix problems and keep protection working. Turning off required permissions or not installing updates may reduce or stop protection.
6. Subscription and free trial
KuSon works with a subscription. New users can start with a 3-day free trial through Google Play or the App Store. After the trial, the subscription renews automatically every month or every year, depending on the plan you chose, until you cancel it. The app reminds you before your free trial ends.
Payment is taken by Google Play or the App Store, in your currency, when the trial ends and at each renewal. Our base prices are $5.99 a month and $29.99 a year and are the same in every country; the store may add local taxes. If we change prices, the store will tell you before the new price applies, as its rules require.
Licences we issue directly (for example a lifetime licence) follow the conditions we give you when we issue them.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel anytime in your Google Play or App Store subscription settings. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.
Refunds for store purchases are handled by Google Play or Apple under their refund policies; we can't issue them ourselves. If you live in a country that gives you a legal right to withdraw from online purchases, you can use it through the store under that law.
8. When your subscription ends
When your subscription ends, KuSon stops blocking and shows this clearly in the app. Your locks stay saved and work again if you subscribe again.
9. Locks, early unlock and removal
A lock can't be cancelled from the app before its end time. This is on purpose: it protects you in difficult moments.
If you need to unlock early, send a request in the app. Our team reviews every request in good faith and may approve or decline it. An approved request opens the lock after a waiting period, normally 24 hours, and you can withdraw it during that time. Requests are only accepted through the app, not by email or phone.
On Android, uninstall protection stops KuSon from being removed while you're protected; on iPhone, apps can't be deleted during a lock. If you need to leave KuSon completely, write to us: after review and a waiting period we can release your device so that all locks open and the app can be removed.
No app can guarantee it can never be removed, for example after a factory reset of your phone.
10. Fair use
You agree not to copy, modify, resell, reverse engineer or try to get around KuSon or its gambling list, not to send false reports, not to interfere with our servers, and not to harass our team. Using a VPN, a private DNS, another device or another network can reduce KuSon's protection.
11. Intellectual property
The KuSon name and logo, the app, the gambling list and the content of this website belong to KORACL MMC or its licensors. You may not use them without our written permission, except to use KuSon as these terms allow.
12. What KuSon can't promise
We work hard to keep our gambling list complete, but no blocker can catch every site or app, especially new ones, and KuSon can't stop gambling on other devices or offline. If something isn't blocked, please report it in the app.
We aim to keep KuSon and this website available and working as described, but we can't promise they will always be free of interruptions or errors. Information on this website is general and is not medical or legal advice.
13. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Otherwise, we are not responsible for: money lost to gambling; losses caused by a site or app that was not blocked; losses after KuSon was removed, switched off or bypassed; indirect or business losses; or delays and failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. Where we are responsible, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for KuSon in the 12 months before the claim.
14. Suspension and ending
You can stop using KuSon at any time by cancelling your subscription. We may suspend or end your use of KuSon if you seriously break these terms; where the problem can be fixed, we will first give you notice and at least 14 days to fix it. When your licence ends, your right to use KuSon ends too.
15. Other websites
We link to other websites, such as gambling help lines, for your information. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content.
16. Changes to KuSon and these terms
We may change KuSon and these terms, for example when the law or the app changes. For important changes we will tell you in the app at least 30 days in advance. If you don't agree, you can cancel your subscription before the change applies.
17. Your consumer rights, complaints and courts
If you have a problem, please write to support@kuson.net first; we will try to solve it quickly.
These terms are governed by the law of the country where you live. If you live in the European Union, the EEA or the UK, you keep all the protections of EU (or UK) consumer and data protection law, and nothing in these terms takes them away. You can bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live and complain to your national consumer or data protection authority.
18. Other important terms
We may transfer our rights under these terms to another company, for example if KuSon is sold; your rights under the law won't be reduced. You may not transfer your licence. If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest stays in force. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still do so later. These terms are translated into several languages; if versions differ, the English version applies where the law allows.
